Here are what visitors can enjoy at Kechki Sangam:
Twin forts: There are two forts — the Old Fort (Purana Kila) in the plains and the New Fort (Naya Kila) on a hill nearby.Â
They are located in Betla / near Betla National Park, on the banks of the Auranga River.
Nagpuri Gate
In the New Fort there is a beautifully carved gate called the “Nagpuri gate.”
Ruined Mosques
A triple-domed brick mosque built by Daud Khan (1660-61) just inside the western entrance, with octagonal towers.
Deep Central Well in the Old Fort
Within the Old Fort, there's a well located near the west entrance, which once was important for water supply.
Palace / Living Quarters & Tunnels
You can find remains of the king’s palace in the fort. Some quarters, staircases, ramparts still remain.
Ramparts / Views
From the ramparts (walls), you can get good views over Auranga river, forested surroundings. The New Fort especially is on a hill so it affords a scenic vantage point.
